Take a look at them on Zaarga.

In Conversation with Sreeti Mondol:
When did you start designing?
I started my career in advertising although I always had an inclination towards hands on creative and interiors. After an unfortunate accident, broken neck, surgery and one year recovery, actually during, I started to explore ideas in creative business.

Is there any specific reason you chose to take the unconventional bead curtain design and not other areas of design?
Bead Curtains were interesting to me as they allow for a larger scale in design with beads than other mediums. Also they are so closely linked to interiors which have always been important and inspiring to me. Bead curtains allow for customization which I find very important today when people are confident and proud to be individualistic and want that to show that in their living and working spaces.

What is your favourite colour or theme?
Champagne/Honey Brown/Topaz/Amber  - Hugely adaptable and delicious and work well in combination with wood and other materials used in homes, restaurants, SPAs, hotels etc. Also these shades work well with other colors.

What are the few words you would use to describe your brand?
MOAB as a brand is free spirited, boundless in creativity, buzzing with excitement and opportunity, yielding yet strong at the core, constantly evolving, Attractive & unique, unpretentious and grounded in purpose.

What / Who would you say is your biggest inspiration?
Butterflies – of course! :-) Also the people who I create customized bead curtains for and their unique living and working spaces.

Who is your Number One fan?
My Mom Malini. She is also hugely involved in the production process of MOAB.

What are the best aspects of your work that you enjoy the most ?
The thrill of designing and the challenges of business..... great fun!

What do you consider the biggest challenge you face today related to your work or design in general?
The challenge is to come across great opportunities like working on renovations of old bead work interiors (would be such a special joy). I would love an opportunity to redo the Taj Mahal with beads!! :)

Is there any design of yours you consider your best? which one is it and why?
Pomegranate Gold Bead Curtain (image on the right) is the most flexible design and can be adapted to most specifics of an area in terms of color combination size etc. It has a beautiful raindrop effect with glass beads on top and ending in acrylic silver/gold or copper embellishing, and can be used to make a dramatic effect or a more subtle effect depending on a client's taste.

What is your vision for your work and design?
I would love to do more renovation projects and expand our scope in India and exports.

Your thoughts on Zaarga.....?
Hope that we can grow together :)

Wishing great success to Sreeti and MOAB...
Cheers!
